Rain and storm surge will move up the state's west coast throughout Thursday as the storm continues gaining strength. NOAA warned residents as of 4:00 a.m. ET Wednesday to be aware of "life-threatening storm surge along the entire west coast of the Florida Peninsula and Florida Big Bend. The highest inundation levels are expected along the coast of the Florida Big Bend."
