HEROIC AWPer Abdul "?degster?" Gasanov has been ruled out of IEM Dallas due to visa issues, HLTV has confirmed. In lieu of the Russian AWPer, HEROIC are set to make use of benched player Nico "?nicoodoz?" Tamjidi for the duration of the event.

The news of degster's inability to attend IEM Dallas puts a damper on his recent addition to the squad. Despite having been out of action for almost a year, degster impressed in his debut event for HEROIC, averaging a team-high 1.12 rating at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, which culminated in a semi-final finish for his side after falling to eventual champions MOUZ.

Missing out on IEM Dallas means that degster will have just one more opportunity to compete under the HEROIC banner before the player break, with his team set to compete in Abu Dhabi at YaLLa Compass 2024 as their final event of the first half of the season.

Filling the gap left by degster's absence is nicoodoz, who was benched ahead of BetBoom Dacha to make way for the Russian's addition. The Dane's brief return to action for the squad will kick off with an opening matchup against Virtus.pro in Group B of the American event.
