"It’s really exciting to be hamster home sex videosplaying an adult in an office wearing sensible heels and sweaters with button-downs underneath them," Vanessa Hudgens told Mashable when discussing her new TV show.
And for her, business casual truly is uncharted territory. Vanessa Hudgens is probably the person you see when you close your eyes and concentrate on the words "Coachella fashion."
We caught up with Hudgens, who is launching a partnership with shopping app Covet Fashion, to talk about creating the avatar version of herself, personal style and playing an adult for the first time on the upcoming show Powerless.

NBC recently picked up Hudgens' pilot, Powerless, a comedy about a normal woman working at an insurance company in a world populated by DC Comics characters.
“This is actually the first time I’ve played an adult in a working environment, and it’s so funny because I’m 27," Hudgens said. "I’m always playing a high school student, a runaway, a college student student that’s robbing people. It’s never set in reality."
And while Powerlessis based in a fantasy world, it's not really about the superheroes. Hudgens and her fellow normals are, "basically just going about our lives and find our own power as a powerless person in a world full of Supers. So it’s never really about them, it’s more about finding yourself in that world."
Hudgens may not be wearing capes on television, she'll still be having fun with her personal style, appearing as an avatar celebrity host in Covet Fashion's app.
Hudgens says the app, which lets users go online shopping by having their avatars try on digital versions of real clothes, is sort of like a real life version of Cher Horowitz' closet.
"I always fantasized about it, ever since watching Clueless," she said.
Fans will have a chance to vote on outfits for the digital Vanessa Hudgens to wear on the average day in her life, "For me, that’s like, festivals, date night with my boyfriend, girls' night out.”

IRL, she's excited to be wearing lots of white, Levi's 501 cutoff shorts and shoes by Calleen Cordero.
“She hand-makes all her stuff in LA," Hudgens said. "It’s really beautiful leatherwork. I just got gold wedges from her that are so cute and so fun. That make me really excited for summer. “
And, in true Cher Horowitz style, she's still really into '90s fashion.
"I guess chokers are trending right now, but I love them," she admitted. "I think they’re timeless.”

But she doesn't focus too much on individual items, and would rather just chill out and mix things up -- the Vanessa Hudgens fashion philosophy.
