Tamlyn Tomita will be порнография и кафирыa guest star in the new CBS series “Zoo,” which premieres on Tuesday, June 30, at 9 p.m.
Based on James Patterson’s bestselling novel. The series stars James Wolk, Kristen Connolly, Billy Burke, Nora Arnezeder and Nonso Anozie.
“Zoo” is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. Wolk will play Jackson Oz, a young, renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa when he begins noticing the strange behavior of the animals. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.
Tomita plays Minako Oz in Episode 3, “The Silence of the Cicadas,” in which Jackson Oz and Abraham Kanyatta (Anozie) fly to Japan to recover the rest of Oz’s father’s research involving animals. The episode airs on Tuesday, July 14.

Tomita currently has a recurring role as Noshiko Yukimura, mother of Kira (Arden Cho), in the MTV series “Teen Wolf,” loosely based on the 1985 movie of the same name. Tyler Posey stars as Scott, who is bitten by a werewolf and must cope with how it affects his life and the lives of those closest to him. The series has been renewed for a fifth season.
Tomita’s other recent TV credits include two appearances as Judge Carol Morrow on ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder”; a guest role as Agent Shana Rollins on CBS’ “NCIS: Los Angeles”; a recurring role as Toni Willis, boss of Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps), on ABC’s “Resurrection”; two appearances as Ms. Suzuki on HBO’s “True Blood”; and a recurring role as Julia Chang, mother of Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.), on Fox’s “Glee.”
She has also had recurring roles on such series as “Days of Our Lives,” “Law and Order: LA,” “Heroes,” “Eureka” and “General Hospital.”
Her recent film credits include “The Unbidden” (now in post-production), “Awesome Asian Bad Guys,” and the shorts “Operation Marriage” and “A Super Duper Exotic Erotic Fetish Sexy Must-See Story… A Tragedy of Oriental Proportions!”
Tomita is a familiar face in the Asian American community, having emceed countless community events.
