Films like Past Lives, Anatomy of a Fall, and May Decemberwere shut out entirely, as were their stars (and Golden Globe nominees) Greta Lee, Sandra Hüller, and Charles Melton — all of whom are more than deserving of recognition. Meanwhile, on the TV side, Succession's Jeremy Strong was overlooked in this round of nominations, unlike castmates Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Matthew Macfadyen, perhaps indicating he won't be as strong of a contender at the 2024 Emmys.
