At the Oscars ceremony on Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, the winner for best animated feature film was Disney’s “Big Hero 6.” “Kaguya” was nominated along with “The Boxtrolls,” “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” and “Song of the Sea.”
The Oscar for best animated short film went to “Feast” by Patrick Osborne and Kristina Reed. Also nominated were Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi for “The Dam Keeper,” Daisy Jacobs and Chrisopher Hees for “The Bigger Picture,” Torill Kove for “Me and My Moulton,” and Joris Oprins for “A Single Life.”

Gutierrez for “The Book of Life,” Anthony Stacchi and Graham Annable for “The Boxtrolls,” and Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Chris McKay for “The LEGO Movie.”
The Annie for outstanding achievement in music for an animated feature went to John Powell and Jonsi for “How to Train Your Dragon 2.” Joe Hisaishi was nominated for “Kaguya” along with Nicole Renaud for “Cheatin’,” Danny Elfman for “Mr. Peabody and Sherman,” and Bruno Coulais and Kila for “Song of the Sea.”
The Annie for best animated short went to “Feast.” “The Dam Keeper” was nominated along with “Coda,” “Duet,” “Me and My Moulton,” “The Simpsons — Michal Socha Couch Gag,” “Silent,” and “The Raven.”
“Big Hero 6” won only one Annie, for best animated effects in an animated production.
The team of Steve Avoujageli, Atsushi Ikarashi, Pawel Grochola, Paul Waggoner and Viktor Lundqvist won the Annie for outstanding achievement in animated effects for a live-action production for “Edge of Tomorrow.” Also nominated were “Noah,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
The event was hosted by the comedy duo of Garfunkel & Oates (Kate Mucucci and Riki Lindhome). Presenters included actor Ryan Potter, who provided the voice of Hiro Hamada in “Big Hero 6.”
