PACOIMA — Day of Remembrance, an exploration of Executive Order 9066 and its impact on the Japanese American community, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Sakaguchi Hall, San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center, 12953 Branford St., Pacoima.
Discover more about this tragic time in American history through exhibits and “café style” conversations with honored guests.
The event will feature a screening of “Lil Tokyo Reporter” and a book panel on “A Rebel’s Outcry.” Presented by the Little Tokyo Historical Society, both works profile Sei Fujii (1882-1954), an Issei civil rights activist and founder of The Kashu Mainichi.
