Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple,phim 18 com 12371 Braddock (at Centinela) in Culver City, will hold its annual Obon Festival on Saturday, July 18, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 19, from 1 to 9 p.m.
Featuring food, games, boutique sale, and Bon odori both nights at 6:30 p.m. Every year, VHBT members as well as groups from other temples participate in the dancing.
Silent auction will include passes for Disneyland/California Adventure, a basketball authored by L.A. Clippers star Chris Paul, a cap autographed by the 2014-15 Clippers, and tickets to a baseball game between the L.A. Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds. To place a bid before the festival, call (310) 266-5091 before Friday, July 17, at 9 p.m. The raffle booth will be open at the festival until Sunday at 8 p.m.
