NBK led the charge on Overpass

G2 piled more misery on OpTic by taking the pistol round as CT in dominant fashion, crushing the North Americans as they tried to enter the B site. OpTic were able to respond in the third round with a force-buy, courtesy of a quad kill from Tarik "?tarik?" Celik.

It looked like OpTic had finally got some breathing room, but then bodyy stepped up. The 20-year-old picked up three quick kills with a Famas to reset OpTic's economy, and followed that up with a quad kill in the construction area, propelling G2 into an easy 16-5 victory.

The second map, Inferno, was a repeat of the first, with G2 jumping out to a commanding 8-2 lead as the rounds that OpTic edged out were few and far between. OpTic then finally managed to string two rounds together, but G2 regained control of the game and closed out the half with a 10-5 lead.

The French team will take on FaZe later today

G2 further added to their lead by winning the pistol round and the subsequent anti-ecos. The first gun round then went OpTic's way, but they had no response to Nathan "?NBK-?" Schmitt's UMP in the following round. With their economy in shambles, OpTic were helpless to keep G2 from taking the map with another impressive scoreline.
