Republican Sen. John McCain is teen couples selfie sex videosbeing compared to a Harry Potter character following his shocking vote against the "skinny repeal," a watered-down version of a failed GOP bill meant to take down Obamacare.
McCain, who recently announced he has brain cancer, had given little indication he'd vote no alongside just two other Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski early Friday morning. (By the way those other senators were fearlessly battling the bill long before McCain made his shocking turn.)
Huh. Kind of sounds familiar. Who else in our history has looked like a bad guy, but kind of ended up helping everyone out? After the Senate flew into a tizzy, actor and Twitter master George Takei drew an interesting connection between McCain and Severus Snape from the Harry Potter franchise.

If you're thinking "What?! John McCain is NOTHING like our beloved Snape. How dare he!," just hear him out, people.
See, everyone thought Snape was a pure evil Death Eater who may have done some nice things along the way. But no, that wasn't the case. He was just hopelessly trying to protect Harry, and was actually against Voldemort the whole time.
Everyone thoughtMcCain was going to help pass the "skinny repeal," a bill which would have left 16 million additional people without health care and driven premiums up by 20 percent a year, according to the Congressional Budget Office. But he wasn't!
If you still don't quite see the connection, you're not alone. People on Twitter weren't so convinced, and were even a little offended by the thought. McCain still wants to repeal Obamacare, remember, just not this way.

Whether you see the connection or not, you have to admit, it did make for one hell of a show.
