BURBANK —?The ger?ek bo?alma izlecontroversial thriller “Chink” screens as part of the 2013 Burbank International Film Festival on Friday, Sept. 6, at 8 p.m. at the AMC Town Center 6, 770 N. 1stSt., Burbank.
Directed by Stanley Yung (producer of “The People I’ve Slept With”), written by Koji Steven Sakai (“Monster & Me,” “Death Ride”) and produced by Quentin Lee (director of “Ethan Mao”), the film stars Jason Tobin (“The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” “Better Luck Tomorrow”), Eugenia Yuan (“Memoirs of a Geisha,” “Charlotte Sometimes”), Tzi Ma (“Rush Hour,” “24”), Shoshana Bush (“Dance Flick”), Kenzie Dalton (“New Girl”) and Rane Jameson (“Redwood”).
Tobin stars as Eddy Tsai, an office worker who secretly idolizes serial killer Ted Bundy. He has internalized the racism he felt as a child and turned it into a hatred of all Asians – including himself. His anger and his desire to be like his hero lead him to violence and ultimately to his dream of becoming the greatest serial killer in history.
